The Town of Fairlee founded in 1761, encompassing the Village of Ely as well as Fairlee, lies between the Connecticut River and the foothills of the Green Mountains. Fairlee boasts of two scenic lakes, LakeMorey and LakeFairlee, both with long and proud histories. With a year-round population of 977 Fairlee becomes a vibrant resort community in the summer, home to generations of summer residents and children attending summer camp, as they have for over 100 years. In the fall, after the foliage has gone, the pace slows and the town becomes a quiet, scenic New England village.
